The smallest things on Earth may also be the most powerful. Reinstating the ancient partnership between soil microbes, plants and animals could be the only way to reverse pandemics of chronic disease and catastrophic climate change, yet soil’s beneficial microbes can be quickly destroyed by fertilizer, ploughs and pesticides. Conventional farm soils are inert & the food shaped- objects they grow contain a quarter of the nutrients our grandparents ate (plus untold poison residues). Conversely, soil “probiotics” create the rare aromatic flavours in real food, responsible for health. Probiotics can be bred up in wormery’s and compost heaps. Organic farmer Bee made compost for 40 years but in 2014 learnt to make top QUALITY compost from Dr Elaine Ingham. Suddenly the farm is a vibrant green oasis and far more profitable. People too are thriving as they eat nutrient dense foods covered in friendly bacteria. We will see plenty of them under the microscope. Quality compost can be brewed into a tea to inoculate large acreages with the whole soil food web, so from home garden to cattle stations, all growers will benefit from understanding some secrets of soil science that will be shared.

Learn regeneration of the soil by many methods. See cell grazing in action, permaculture strategies, inspirational swales, hugekultures and food forests. The amazing, the astounding IN DEEP SOIL takes place at Nannup’s Merri Bee Farmacy this March 20th and 21st , 2021.

Student Review

“If you want to get a FULL education about composting and life in the soil, this is the course you MUST do…” Mandy Collins, Mandurah

“I actually thought I was out of my depth when I first learnt I was attending a course with experienced farmers!! However I realised that I wasn’t, as together we all saw the light as to why pesticides should never be used. Results are actually more outstanding without the use of such sprays compared to using your own made compost and/or teas and Bee shows you the proof – YES these compost solutions are almost free and are actually easy to make, even a little back yard urban gardener like me can do it! With a full tour and explanation of Merri Bee Farmacy, Bee leaves nothing to the imagination. Her paddocks, vegetable garden beds, worm and farm animals, all play a part in this course. Bee kept the information simple yet in depth which is what we were all after. The What, When, How’s and Whys were all presented in fun, descriptive and a variety of ways. Bee catered for us too, which was just the icing on the cake – all home made from produce Bee and her hubby Stew grew on Merri Bee Farmacy! I felt so welcome the instant I walked in – Bee is just so passionate about caring for the Earth, animals, humans but most of all our precious soil. If you want to know how to grow micro-organisms, understand them, see them in a mircroscope, build your healthiest soil to produce the best looking crops & plants then you MUST add Bee Winfield’s course to your list of courses to complete in 2020.”
